The trucking industry has been revolutionized with the development of new technologies that have helped to minimize or eliminate its eternal problems; however, fluctuations in the price of diesel and its quality, the good or bad condition of the national road infrastructure, the labor policies of the drivers, safety and its eternal competition with the rail industry, are the great variables that contribute to the development or contraction of cargo transportation, which is fundamental for the growth of any country.

Unfortunately, the above mentioned risk points are not under the control of the companies and sometimes they become serious threats for the freight transportation, which forces them to look for efficiencies in their business processes, in the efficient use of technology and in the performance and maintenance of their used equipment.
